Sinemia announced Monday that it will offer a new “unlimited” ticket option for $29.99 per month.
The plan allows subscribers to score a ticket to one 2D movie ticket per day in Australia, the US, Canada and the UK.
The service allows you to buy tickets for movies in advance, which means you can also select your seats (a must for me these days).
Within its app you select the film you want to go see and where, and then the app activates a digital credit card you can use to make the ticket purchase on the cinema’s website, just as though you were buying a ticket using your own credit card. When you get to the movie, you have to check in using the app to confirm that you are actually the one using that purchased ticket. As far as I can tell, no one at the cinema has any idea you used Sinemia to buy the ticket.
If you don’t need to hit the cinema every day, Sinemia also offers in individual and family ticket options starting at $4.99/month for one 2D film and scaling up to $89.99/month for three movie days for six people per month.

It should be noted that this does not actually work for a majority of Australian cinema chains. The digital card is a US debit card, so cannot be used to purchase tickets for Village, Hoyts and most Event cinemas. The supposed work around is to create a US Paypal account, using a vpn and US contact/address details and then add each temporary card to this every time you need to make a purchase, followed by then selecting Paypal when purchasing, however even this only works 1 out of every 10 attempts.
Sinemia customer support is also non-existant. So you pre-purchase a service you cannot actually use, and have no means of getting a response from the company.
Highly recommend this be avoided.
LH really does need to fact check before posting.
One dollar for a movie ticket every day but “as far as I can tell, no one at the cinema has any idea you used Sinemia to buy the ticket.”
Sounds legit.
I second the above comment, it does not work here. I had to file a chargeback eventually to get my money back. Their support is a non-existent. it is a scam and a complete waste of time. I had to comment here to warn other gullible potential buyers.
