S’mores have never really taken off in Australia, but over in the US they are a staple beloved by campers. Thankfully, it’s not too hard to assemble some in your own kitchen. All you need is a culinary torch.
Who needs a campfire and ghost stories when you can roast marshmallows at home, curl up on the couch, and watch a scary movie. The folks at the Insider YouTuber channel recommend you recreate the charred, gooey magic of roasted marshmallows with a tool that’s usually used for creme brulee.
Just lay your marshmallow and chocolate on a large rectangular cracker or digestive biscuit, light your marshmallow with a culinary torch, then blow it out after letting it char a little. Smash it all together with the cracker top, and you won’t be able to taste the difference. Best of all, culinary torches aren’t too expensive.
