I like to keep the festive cocktails flowing until January 1, but I don’t want to spend a ton of time playing bartender. This two-ingredient creation from FWx feels fancy without requiring a lot of work.
Made with a complex Amaro (I’d suggest a “medium” one like Averna or Lucano) and mint leaves, this refreshing, herbal beverage is greater than the sum of its two parts. Just throw an ounce of liqueur, about five mint leaves, and a bunch of ice in a shaker. Shake and strain. The result is a bracing digestif with a ton of flavour that tastes much more labour-intensive than it is. Enjoy while looking at that fake fire on Netflix (or that oscillating fan).
