The internet has a tendency to bring even the most productive of days to a grinding halt. Take a Five lets you create a browser tab for distractions that self-destructs after a set time limit of your choosing.
The tool, created by engineer Cole McCollum, is very simple and does exactly what it says it will. Head to the web site, enter a time, visit your favourite web sites in that tab, and bam — the tab closes and it tells you to get back to work. The only downside is it doesn’t help much if you like to open a bunch of tabs at once. Take a Five only affects the special tab it opens up for you when you enter your time limit, so you’ll have to keep your time-wasting contained there. There are a lot of great ways to limit your visits to time-wasting sites, but this is definitely up there as one of the simplest. Check it out for yourself at the link below.
