We know some pretty cool ways to avoid frost on your car, including using vinegar to defrost your windscreen quickly. If you scrape your window every morning anyway, a piece of cloth or cardboard may be a better option.

Lift your windscreen wipers and place the cloth or cardboard on the windscreen. Then use the wipers to hold the material in place. This keeps condensation and frost from getting on your windscreen overnight, and it also keeps your wipers from freezing to the glass.
Cloth will work for milder cold, but if your area has really low temperatures, cardboard is a better bet, and won’t freeze to the glass. It may not work for everyone, but this method saves you money on consumables, and is safer for your windscreen than pouring warm water on it.
