iPhone: The first iteration of Launch Center was a handy way to add shortcuts to Notification Center. But with the release of Launch Center Pro, the focus changes to a way to launch app-specific actions from one specific home screen.
The easiest way to explain Launch Center Pro is that it’s a speed dial for apps. From the Launch Center homescreen, you can launch app-specific actions, such as texting a single person, loading the camera in Instagram, creating a note in Omnifocus or searching for restaurants on Yelp. You can also use your iPhone’s clipboard a bit more intuitively. For instance, you can make an action that instantly creates a note in Simplenote with clipboard data.
If you use certain apps for one purpose and that purpose takes a few taps to get to then Launch Center Pro is an easy way to get there. Launch Center Pro is currently $2.99 in the iTunes App Store.
