PC gamers have plenty of launchers they can install to play all their games — including Steam, Epic Games, Battle.net and GOG Galaxy, to name a few. The Rockstar Games Launcher is the latest app to join the club, and downloading it today (whether you need it or not) can score you a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Rockstar rolling out its own first-party games marketplace is a bit unexpected, but it doesn’t really matter as long as you get a free copy of a pretty solid (if not older) title to play just for trying it out. To get started:
-
Go to the Rockstar Games Launcher download page
-
Click the “Download for Windows” link.
-
Open the installer file and follow the instructions.
-
Create a new Rockstar Social club account if you haven’t already. You’ll use this to log into Rockstar Games Launcher.
-
With the launcher installed and your account created, launch the app and log in.
-
Click the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas banner at the top of the welcome page, then complete the transaction to add the (free!) game to your library.
