I’m a big fan of making lists. I have a list of things I need to get done the month, another list is broken out into things I need to do this week, and yet another list of things that need to be completed in a day. For me and how I work, they’re great for keeping me organised, and I get a lot of satisfaction in crossing yet another item off my list.

In the AM, fuelled by coffee and morning delusion, we jot down all the tasks we hope to accomplish in the next eight (or, let’s be real, 11 or 12) hours. But these lists, while well-intentioned, are often written haphazardly.”]
Today List is a Slack app that brings that daily list component to Slack, where presumably you’re already spending a lot of time in your day (and if you’re not using Slack this one isn’t for you).
Once installed (you’ll need to be an admin for your Slack), you can use the app to create a list for the day that truly is a list for the day. Everything on it expires in 24 hours, which in an of itself is motivation to get things done.
Things can be added to your list by typing /today-add and then the task or marked complete by typing/today-complete followed by the talk you want to mark done.
You can also type /today-list into any channel during the day to list all of the tasks you currently have on your list to complete.
The idea here is to collect those tasks that someone mentions in Slack in real time so you don’t forget them.
If you find yourself losing tasks during the day it can be a quick and easy way to keep track of them.

I used Clear for my iOS devices but one day it said it couldn’t get data from the cloud and that was that. I’m thinking of using One Note but I don’t have an export program so I’ll have to do it manually.
I know you can try and reinstall Clear and resync but I didn’t want to risk having it update from an empty cloud and deleting everything.
Similar thing happened with it’s predecessor when iOS changed to 64bit, the app maker wanted $60 for version 2.
So there are risks in using apps for years and years.
