It seems Minecraft has held pretty steady in purchase and download popularity, with both Android and iPhone users since 2013, but what’s happened to Facebook on iPhone? (Perhaps, in the past year at least, all those users have been too busy checking out Super Mario Run. And thanks to yesterday’s highly anticipated update and up-to-50-per cent-off discount, that’s unlikely to change.)
You can also chart the rise and fall of various social media and streaming platforms — scroll down, and you’ll start to notice Spotify replacing Pandora, YouTube becoming a mainstay, and Snapchat muscling its way into the top social platforms alongside Facebook and Instagram. It’s almost enough to make you nostalgic for the simpler days when Angry Birds obsession was a going national concern.
