Become A Cryptocurrency Expert With This Massive (And Free) Online Resource

Over the past few months, Lifehacker has written a lot of articles trying to demystify the world of cryptocurrency, but there’s still a ton left to cover. You could probably spend the rest of the year reading about cryptocurrency and still have more questions than answers. I’m not recommending anyone actually do that, but if you want to, there’s a website you should check out.

Andreessen Horowitz, the Silicon Valley venture capital firm with investments in Twitter, Facebook, Airbnb, Lyft and many more, recently published what it’s calling the “Crypto Canon.” It’s essentially a list of links and articles that cover everything you could possibly want to know about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies – from the basic to the very specific and everything in between.

The Crypto Canon is organised into sections, beginning with “Building Blocks and Basics.” It includes links to articles, blog posts and YouTube videos explaining basic concepts like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and blockchain. Next up is a section on “Foundations (& History),” which includes the original whitepapers laying out the premise for Bitcoin and Ethereum, along with links to articles and scholarly essays on the general importance of cryptocurrency.

Keep on scrolling for sections focused on how cryptocurrency technology could improve governments and online security, along with a list of resources for software developers looking to get into the space. If you’re still not satisfied, the canon ends with a list of newsletters to follow and courses to take. The entire page will also be updated regularly with new articles, explainers, and videos.

Like I said, you could probably spend a year working your way through all this information. Your best bet is to just to bookmark it now and return when you need an answer to a specific question (or you have a lot of time to kill).
