Hostels are an inexpensive option when you want to stretch your travel budget and don’t mind sharing space with strangers (who might even become your friends). The downside is that if you want to hang your clothes or towels up to dry, you’re fighting for the same common drying spots with everyone else in the hostel. Toss a couple of small magnets in your bag and you have this problem solved!

You get to do what you want, when you want; discover new and honest things about the world and yourself; and enjoy an uplifting, mindful travelling experience without someone else’s influences. But after a while, talking to yourself and eating another meal without being able to share funny thoughts and observations about the day with an another human get… awfully lonesome.”]
As Redditor watchitbub shares, many hostels have metal bed frames, lockers, doorways, or other furniture that you can use these magnets on. If you have a bit of rope, you might even be able to rig up a clothesline to air dry your stuff after a sink wash.
You can also use these magnets to hang items you want to be able to easily grab, such as a city map. If you’re concerned about the magnets creating wear and tear on your towel or clothes, glue them to a plastic chip clip or get clips that are already magnetic. Be mindful when packing your magnets and keep them away from anything that they could mess with, such as magnetic strips on credit cards or plastic room keys.

So you literally just created an article from a single post on Reddit without any thought whatsoever – congratulations, you’re a Lifehacker writer!
Don’t worry about considering the implications of all those magnets on airport security or sensitive electronics inside your bag or in adjacent bags – you’ve got garbage to be paid for!
Magnets are prohibited on planes because they mess up the navigation instruments. Technically you would be breaking a federal law by packing a magnet strong enough to hang a wet towel on.
Wouldn’t a magnet big/powerful enough to hang a towel with, be pretty heavy? Not sure I would want to be lugging one of them around.
