Make These Mini Ham And Cheese Sandwiches Inside A Bread Loaf For Your Next Party

Tiny, toasty, melt-y ham and cheese sandwiches are a very comforting finger food, but they become something quite special when you serve them inside a loaf or warm, soft bread.

The video above can walk you through the entire tasty process, but it looks much more elaborate than it is. First, you’ll need to grab a big ‘ol loaf of sandwich bread, hollow it out, and slice that carb-y core into little squares. Toast the squares with a bit of butter, and pile on ham, Gruyere, and a bit of Dijon mustard. Cut the sandwiches into triangles, wedge them diagonally inside the big loaf of bread, put the top back on, wrap the whole thing in foil, and bake for half an hour at 400℉. Present what seems to be a boring loaf of bread to your guests, and watch their eyes light up as you remove the top crust to reveal many cheesy, salty, toasty sandwiches.
