The Federal Government has given the Industry Skills Fund, which offered skills and training grants to small and medium businesses (SMBs), the chop.
The Fund was cut in the mid-year budget update. Treasurer Scott Morrison said the fund was being underutilised and businesses still have access to a number of grants and assistance programs.
On the Industry Skills Fund website, there is a notice that says the program will cease to accept applications for funding from midnight 31 December 2016.

And yet they have no qualms reducing corporate taxes, while doing naff all for the small business. This Gov’t has its priorities all wrong!
And worse, they dress up their multinational corporate tax cuts as “small business tax relief” and “job creation”. Neither is true of course, but that’s the narrative.
