TweetDeck has long been our favourite Twitter client for Windows, but today Twitter announced it will kill the Windows version on April 15.
While the Windows application version of TweetDeck is dead, the web version lives on, as does the Chrome extension. The push here is to make the web app version of TweetDeck more in line with the Windows app and will supposedly be packed with all the same features. Part of that comes from a change that will allow you to instantly log into web version of TweetDeck provided you’re already logged in to the regular Twitter site. The official change will roll over on April 15, when presumably the Windows version of the app will no longer work.
