NBCUniversal has announced the launch of yet another streaming entertainment service in Australia. Hayu caters exclusively to reality TV fans with on-demand access to more than 3000 episodes of popular shows including Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Real Housewives and Made in Chelsea. Welcome to hell.
Hayu will be launching March 22 in Australia with a free 30-day trial followed by a monthly subscription fee of $5.99. As with Netflix, Presto and Stan, there’s no lock in contract.
According to Hayu, most US reality TV shows will debut on the service the same day as their US launch. This is important, as reality TV has a shorter shelf life than other television genres; particularly series that follow a competition format.
Past seasons will also be available, and the service will be integrated with reality celebrities’ social media accounts which sounds properly terrifying.
While we have no doubt that 99% of you are vehemently opposed to this service, we’re equally certain that somebody you live with will love it — be it your spouse, roommate or increasingly alien and unknowable tween daughter.
The app will be available on Android and iOS devices as well as connected TVs and laptops. To register your interest, head to the Hayu website.

Seems like a good way to round up a pile of those people who validate this crap and have them all shot!
Im confused. Reality TV is the thing people avoid on regular free tv, why on earth would they pay for a service for it?
