So many people want to go to Google I/O that Google is selecting from interested participants at random. Now Apple is adopting the same approach for its annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) event.

Apple has announced the dates for WWDC, which will take place in San Francisco from 2-6 June. Here’s how Apple explains the registration process:
Developers can apply for tickets via the WWDC website (developer.apple.com/wwdc) now through Monday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, and tickets will be issued to attendees through random selection. Developers will know their status by Monday, April 7 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.
It seems likely iOS 8 will be announced at WWDC. Even if it isn’t, demand is sure to be high. I wonder if anyone will successfully register for both WWDC at the beginning of June and I/O at the end?
