Mac: If you ever want to pull your location data off your Mac and drop it into an iMessage, note or journal entry, it will be a pain to find. However, with a little AppleScript magic, you can grab your location and instantly turn it into a TextExpander snippet.
First, you’ll need a free app from the Mac App Store called Location Helper that gives AppleScript access to your location. From there, you just need to build a simple Applescript and then create a trigger for that in TextExpander (or any other text expansion program that supports AppleScript). The end results a simple text expansion script that instantly pulls your GPS location.
Head over to the Smile blog for the full directions on creating the AppleScript for yourself.
