If you tend to launch the same set of browser tabs all the time when you first sit down at your computer, it’s nice to be able to do that in one click. Launchbot is a start page that lets you create your own “sets” that offer one-click launching of as many sites as you’d like.
What’s nice about Launchbot is that it isn’t an app or extension, it’s just an HTML file and folder. That means you can store it locally on your computer or on your web space and then use it as your home page from any browser.
Once you set it up, you’ll get access to a number of “sets”. These offer up one-click launching of as many websites as you want. For example, you might create a “morning set” with all your favourite news sites, or a “lunch set” with all your favourite time-wasting sites.
Launchbot does take a little bit of technical know-how to set up (you’ll need to manually edit an HTML file), but it’s a nice and simple start page once you have it going. You can see how it works here.
