The slightly lower-spec Kindle Fire HD is available today in those stores for $189. The 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX will go on sale on November 26 for $329, with the 10-inch HDX model to follow on December 10 for $479. Both Big W and Dick Smith are also selling the latest Paperwhite model for $159.
Veteran Kindle buyers will know that buying through the Amazon site is often cheaper than local retailers, even with postage included, and it’s always worth checking that site before buying (unless you need the device very urgently).
