Earlier this year, Vodafone launched a new roaming deal where you could use your existing number and credit in the US, UK or New Zealand for a flat $5 a day fee while travelling. From 7 October, that deal will also extend to an additional 34 countries in Europe.

If you’re purely after data, buying a local SIM might prove cheaper, but roaming this way has two particular advantages: you keep your existing number, and you can jump between European countries easily without seeing your rates change. The deal is only available on Vodafone’s Red plans.
These are the 34 new European countries where $5 roaming has been added:

One response to “Vodafone $5 A Day Roaming Deal Now Works In Europe Too”
One hundred and fifty dollars a month? Aside from moving between countries in Europe (which has its advantages), this is still a blatant rip off when you could easily get an unlimited local SIM somewhere for less than a third of that price.
Plus, needing to be a Vodafone customer in Australia to begin with.. Hmm, not going to win any friends there.
